The City of Charleston Information Systems department performs a variety a functions including the planning, purchasing, installation, and support services for all of the City's Network Equipment, Servers, and Computers.  In addition, they perform other functions including the process, printing and management of particular city documents including:

  • Maintenance of the business and occupation taxes system

  • Municipal licenses applications

  • Traffic notices

  • Traffic warrants – letters

  • All non-moving violations tickets

  • The municipal buildings parking billing

  • Responsible for printing a/p check, payroll checks, and pension checks

  • Garbage bag slips, process all related reports

  • Helpline for Charleston Distance Run and accept applications from walk-ins

  • Help maintain the Accounting system
