The Charleston City Manager's Office strives to provide efficient and effective administration, direction, coordination and support to the various City departments, programs and personnel; to assist the Mayor and City Council in developing and implementing public policy; to manage the business affairs of the City, supervising the purchase of all materials and supplies, the lettering of contracts and the purchase of insurance; to manage and provide for the maintenance of all real property owned by the City and to provide timely public information and reports.
