REQUIRMENTS

 

   Five members, each serving a five year term. Appointed by council. No more than three of the same political party. Cannot hold any office, other than Notary Public, or be employed under the United States of America, the State of West Virginia, any county or political subdivision, or any political party. Must be a resident of the City. There is hereby created, pursuant to Chapter 8, Article 33 of the Code of West Virginia of 1931, as amended, a municipal building commission to be know as the Charleston Building Commission (hereafter referred to as the commission) which shall be a public corporation having perpetual existence and, except as hereinafter expressly limited, shall have all of the power and authority provided in such Article33 of Chapter 8 of such Code for such a Commission. (Ord. No. 1836, 5-19-80, 1. City Code 2-178 Division 7.

 

MEMBERS   5 Commissioners (no more than 3 of the 5 shall be from the same political party) Must be a resident.

 

TERMS   5 year terms Appointed by Council

   One term expires each year
